"All aspects of agriculture are set to be brought back to life by the current administration as all veterinary clinics in the state have been approved for renovations. The State Government under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde wants the best for everyone and with our support, a lot of good things are about to fall on the good people of Oyo State. "

Also speaking on the issue of taxation and charges to be paid by the vet doctors, the representative of the commissioner charged the doctors to ensure that they give all support for the current administration in the state.

Dr Bolaji Olaomo, President of Association of Private Veterinary medical Practitioners in Oyo State called on the state government to consider the fact that the tax they are expected to pay is already embedded in the gazette that set up veterinary practice and registration in the country.

"To the demand notices being circulated by the Oyo State govt, we felt we are being overcharged because, before you are qualified to be a vet and recognized by the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, we have a lot of dues we paid to the Federal govt and before you get recognized in the state, we pay as well, before you get your premises recognize, there are some fees you will pay to both state and federal Govt. "

He added that veterinary practice is a social responsibility and the Government should consider all these charges being already embedded.
