The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh has charged Nigerian youths to take an interest in and invest in the agricultural sector before venturing in to politics.
Chief Audu Ogbeh, who was represented by Victor Mayomi, a director in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said this during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was reached between the Nigerian Agricultural Mechanization and Equipment Leasing Council (NAMEL) and MANTRAC Nigeria Limited in Abuja.
He urged the youths of the country to take advantage of such partnerships and opportunities in the country to invest in agriculture by securing lands to till for agricultural ventures as the responsibility to feed the nation will soon be on their shoulders.
He further reiterated his stand by saying that youths should not only be interested in replacing the elderly politicians in office, but also in ‘taking over’ in agriculture.
