Several Thai aquaculture companies are seeking growth opportunities in Vietnam as expansion prospects in their domestic market begin to slow.
Thai Pacific Aquaculture, PC Farm, and Unity Agro disclosed this during the 2026 VietShrimp Asia and Aquaculture Vietnam exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 18 to 20.
Representatives of the companies said they are exploring Vietnam’s aquaculture sector, particularly in areas such as shrimp genetics, tilapia broodstock, and water treatment solutions.
According to the firms, these segments present opportunities for expansion as Vietnam continues to develop its aquaculture industry.
They noted that the move to explore Vietnam follows limited growth opportunities in Thailand’s aquaculture market.
The companies said they are assessing partnerships and market entry options as they seek to expand their operations in the Vietnamese aquaculture sector.
