The Ekiti State Government has urged livestock farmers to vaccinate their animals against cross-border diseases that can threaten livestock health and productivity.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Ebenezer Boluwade, made the call while addressing farmers on the need to prevent the spread of diseases that can easily move across borders and affect animals.
He said vaccination remains an important step in protecting livestock and preventing outbreaks that could lead to losses for farmers and disrupt food production.
Boluwade also advised farmers to work closely with veterinary officers and take part in vaccination programmes to safeguard animal health across the state.
