The 10th edition of the International Feed, Livestock, and Meat Industry exhibition is set to return, featuring over 110 stakeholders from 14 countries.

Organized by Informa Markets Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the Livestock Malaysia 2023 event is scheduled to take place from November 29th to December 1st at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Gerard Leeuwenburgh, the Country Manager for Informa Markets Malaysia, emphasized the significance of the expo in keeping local farmers informed about the latest technologies and advancements in the agriculture industry.

He stressed the global importance of the livestock sector and the event's commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the industry.

Rose Chitanuwat, the Regional Portfolio Director for Informa Markets Asean, highlighted the challenges faced by Malaysia's livestock industry, including high poultry production costs and the impact of rising animal feed prices in South-East Asian countries.

Chitanuwat emphasized the need for collaboration between the private and public sectors to address these challenges and ensure the future sustainability of the livestock industry in Malaysia and across Asean countries.

She also expressed concerns about the declining interest in farming as a profession, emphasizing the importance of addressing this issue in the face of the projected global population increase to 9.7 billion by 2050.
