Youth Empowerment: Lagos Trains More Than 200 Youths On Fish Farming Business

No fewer than 250 youths have been trained on fish farming techniques by the Lagos State Government, through the Centre for Rural Development. According to a statement on Tuesday, the centre’s Director, Mr Steven Adeniji, disclosed this during the second phase of the training session held in Igbodu, Epe.

Adeniji said, “The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu had directed CERUD to train 750 youths and fishermen in Lagos State. “We have trained 250 in the first phase in Badagry and 250 are about to undergo similar training here and another 250 in the third phase is going to be held soon in Ikorodu division.

“This year we have proposed to increase the number of amenities that we are going to provide in rural communities across the state.” On his part, the Chairman, Lagos branch of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Femi Oke, commended the governor for the training programmes organised for youth farmers across the state.
