Cairo 3A and Big Dutchman Team Up on AI-Powered Poultry Production

Egyptian poultry company Cairo 3A Poultry and Consumer Division has signed a memorandum of understanding with poultry equipment manufacturer Big Dutchman to explore wider use of artificial intelligence in poultry production.

The partnership will examine how Paula AI, developed by Datalentech and Cairo 3A, can work with Big Dutchman’s poultry housing, feeding and digital systems.

Paula AI uses production data to support flock management, harvest planning and processing operations. Cairo 3A says the technology was developed from challenges faced in its own poultry operations and is already being used across breeding, harvest planning and slaughterhouse activities.

The companies will study the use of predictive technology to give poultry producers better information across different stages of production and help them match output with processing capacity.

Cairo 3A said the technology has produced operational and financial benefits within its business and could be useful to large poultry producers.

The agreement will initially focus on opportunities in the Middle East and Africa, with the companies exploring how AI, farm data and poultry equipment can be combined to improve production planning and decision-making.
