Young people working or studying in the UK poultry industry are being invited to apply for a fully funded place at the 2026 Egg and Poultry Industry Conference, EPIC.
The opportunity is being offered through the conference’s Young Poultry Person Initiative, which is designed to help young professionals gain industry knowledge, build contacts and develop confidence.
The scheme is open to first-time EPIC attendees under 40 who are employed in, or studying for a career in, the UK poultry industry. Applications close on September 1.
Successful applicants will receive conference registration, two nights’ accommodation and access to social events, including both conference dinners. They will only be responsible for their travel costs.
EPIC 2026 will take place at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport. The conference will bring together poultry producers, processors, researchers, veterinarians, nutritionists, suppliers and other industry professionals to discuss technical, commercial and political issues affecting the UK egg and poultry sectors.
EPIC organising committee member Howard Birley said the initiative would help provide young people with opportunities to learn from industry leaders and develop professional connections.
Applications are now open, with eligibility requirements and application details available through the EPIC website.
