Egypt, Turkey Discuss Poultry Export Hub and Farm Investment

Egypt and Turkey are exploring opportunities for investment in poultry, livestock and agricultural production, with discussions also focusing on expanding trade between both countries.

Egypt’s Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister, Alaa Farouk, said the country’s agriculture and poultry sectors have competitive advantages that can attract both local and foreign investors.

Farouk made the statement on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, during a meeting with a delegation of Turkish businessmen and investors.

The minister said the Egyptian government was working to improve the investment environment, remove barriers and encourage private-sector participation.

The meeting also considered partnerships between Egyptian and Turkish businesses, technology transfer and the development of livestock and poultry supply chains.

Both sides discussed using Turkey as a regional hub for Egyptian poultry exports to neighbouring markets, taking advantage of its location and established supply networks.

Turkish investors are expected to visit poultry farms, modern slaughterhouses and major agricultural projects in Egypt to assess investment and technology opportunities.
