Nigeria’s Poultry Industry Welcomes Landmark Noiler Hatchery in Oyo State

Nigeria’s poultry sector has reached a major milestone with the inauguration of a cutting-edge Noiler Hatchery in Awe, Oyo State. Designed to produce over 2.5 million Day-Old Chicks every month, the facility is poised to transform poultry farming by boosting protein availability and strengthening the industry’s growth. This large-scale hatchery is expected to improve nutrition and economic opportunities by increasing access to high-quality Noiler chickens across the country.

Noiler chickens, known for their dual-purpose capabilities in meat and egg production, have become a preferred choice among smallholder farmers and households seeking reliable protein sources. The establishment of this hatchery reinforces Noiler’s essential role in addressing food security challenges while also creating employment and stimulating local economies.

Speaking at the commissioning event, Managing Director Dr. Anand Burra highlighted the hatchery’s significance in expanding poultry farming and ensuring a steady supply of superior Noiler chicks. He emphasized that this facility would provide farmers with high-yield breeds, contributing to increased productivity. Group Managing Director Dr. Ayoola Oduntan also stressed the importance of maintaining top-tier quality standards, urging stakeholders to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence in poultry production.

The event featured a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Oduntan, marking the official commencement of operations. Attendees were given an exclusive tour of the modern facility, showcasing the advanced equipment and innovative techniques used to optimize chick production. Industry leaders such as Dr. Sunil, General Manager of Amo Farm, along with senior executives including Mr. Emmanuel Oloruntoba, Director of Supply Chain, and Mr. Olusegun Akande, Head of Internal Audit, were present, underscoring the industry-wide significance of this achievement.
