Van Bergen To Resume as Vion Livestock Director

Dutch pork production company, Vion Pork has announced that Koen Van Bergen will be taking up the role of Director of Livestock and Supply Chain.

Mr. Van Bergen, who is coming in from Rabobank is expected to resume duty on January 1, 2019. The Chief of Operations Officer, Frans Stortelder has described Mr. Bergen as “a very experienced director, with a great knowledge of and specialization in the pig farming supply chain”, and one who is “perfectly suited for the development of the supply organization of the company.”

Mr. Bergen’s appointment came in a bid by the company to speed up the ‘development of the structure of Dutch pig farming in the years to come.’
