The governor led a delegation to meet top investors and agribusiness leaders, drawing lessons from South Africa’s highly organized livestock industry, which supports millions of jobs and runs hundreds of feedlots and abattoirs.
Visits to modern beef operations and feedlots showed how technology, management, and investment can turn traditional livestock rearing into large-scale, profitable enterprises. Governor Radda said similar systems in Katsina could drive job creation, improve food security, and expand exports.
International halal meat processors expressed interest in establishing operations in the state, opening doors to global markets. The delegation also explored investments in solid minerals and innovative building technologies to support urban development and housing projects.
“This mission demonstrates our commitment to learning from global leaders and turning partnerships into real growth for our people,” Governor Radda said.
