Commissioner for Livestock Development, Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi, revealed during the signing ceremony that the project has secured an investment of **N12.9 billion**, a sum he said will drive a new era of improved livestock production, stronger animal health systems, and deeper engagement with host communities through a robust Social Responsibility Service package.

He explained that the initiative is part of a pilot rollout in just two states—Bauchi and Kano—positioning Bauchi as a pioneer in modern livestock development. Dr. Lukshi also thanked Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his unwavering support, noting that the administration is determined to deliver lasting reforms in the sector.

Project manager for Anthill and Bird Nest Engineering reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure, highlighting its strong profile in handling major agricultural and developmental projects across the country. He noted that the upcoming centre will be built to global standards, integrating modern technology to boost productivity and elevate animal care.

According to him, the facility is designed to serve as a model for Nigeria’s livestock future, offering innovative solutions that will strengthen production efficiency while building better relationships between the centre and surrounding communities. He added that the project is expected to create long-term economic opportunities for local residents.

The event drew attendance from senior officials, including the acting permanent secretary, Alhaji Yakubu Dahuwa, and other top officers, as noted in a statement by the ministry’s information officer, Abubakar Ladan.
