Speaking at Paikon-Kore during a monitoring exercise, Taminu Umar of the Tabita Fulaku Livestock Cooperative commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the SAPZ project team for driving the initiative. He stressed that such support offers farmers economic opportunities that can reduce unemployment and insecurity while improving food production.
FCT-SAPZ Project Coordinator, Dr. Omole Olateju, explained that the monitoring was designed to evaluate how farmers were utilizing the support, identify challenges, and guide future training efforts. He revealed that the programme is already running in seven states and the FCT, with each location focusing on its strongest agricultural value chain.
Livestock Development Officer Usman Vandu confirmed that eleven farmers benefited from the bull distribution, each receiving two animals for fattening. Officials say the plan is to expand the programme to more grazing reserves and area councils, ensuring its benefits reach even more communities.
