Speaking during an inspection tour of farms in Fufore, Adamawa State, Maiha praised the President’s bold decision to create a dedicated ministry for livestock, describing it as a turning point for national food security and economic expansion. He highlighted how the once-overlooked industry has surged back to life, with farmers producing on a scale never seen before and Nigeria carving a strong presence in international markets.
Maiha, a seasoned technocrat, explained that Nigeria’s exports now extend far beyond meat to eggs, fish, and a wide range of other livestock products. This boom, he said, has not only strengthened the nation’s protein supply but also generated jobs, reduced farmer–herder tensions, and positioned Nigeria as a leader in sub-Saharan Africa.
He stressed that the livestock revolution is not about emotions but about tangible results: millions of animals now being raised, millions of families benefiting, and the promise of a future where Nigeria could rank among the world’s top livestock exporters. For Maiha, this is only the beginning. With sustained support for Tinubu’s vision, he believes the country is on the brink of becoming a true global giant in livestock production.
