At the heart of this initiative is a shared vision: to ensure that the stories of transformation in the livestock sector are not only told but told powerfully—with credibility, depth, and human connection. Facilitated in collaboration with Four Icons Premium Limited, the training brought together voices from across media platforms—print, digital, radio, and television—to sharpen their tools in multimedia storytelling.
Commissioner for Communications, Mrs. Bola Olukoju, described the training as a crucial step toward digital inclusion and transparent governance. She emphasized the importance of documentary production in showcasing real stories, not just statistics. To her, storytelling is the bridge that connects governance with the people it serves, turning policies into relatable narratives.
Participants were immersed in techniques to enhance their work using modern tools, including artificial intelligence, as well as strategies for capturing the heart of government interventions. The goal was simple yet profound: make every project, every reform, every impact visible and verifiable.
The coordinator of the L-PRES project in Kwara, Mr. Olusoji Oyawoye, noted that the media's role is vital in amplifying the work being done to improve livestock productivity, resilience, and hygiene standards. He credited Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s unwavering support for enabling the project to thrive and reach key stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.
For those involved, the training wasn’t just a professional upgrade—it was a call to become custodians of progress, to document the journey of Kwara’s livestock transformation for present accountability and future inspiration.
