The Ekiti State Government is developing a large-scale poultry production and housing facility in Emure-Ekiti under the World Bank-supported Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project, L-PRES.
The facility is being built to improve poultry breeding and production through modern techniques and strengthen the poultry value chain in the state.
The project is expected to help farmers improve breeding practices and raise productivity, while also creating jobs and increasing income opportunities for young people.
The state government says the investment will also support food security and strengthen livelihoods by promoting a more productive and sustainable livestock sector across Ekiti.
